Lido Key and St. Armands Circle

Lido Key and St. Armand’s Circle are a favorite among locals and tourists alike. There’s only one way onto Lido Key by car (across the Ringling Bridge) so you’ll experience St. Armand’s Circle before coming to Lido Key. 

St. Armand’s is, like the name sounds, a circle. Think of a splendidly large roundabout with a beautiful park in the center and local artisan shops and authentic restaurants all around the outside. Now dot the area with beautiful tropical trees, shrubs and planters and add twinkling lights and elegant Romanesque statues and you’ve got St. Armand’s Circle. 

Continue past St. Armand’s Circle and you’ll come to Lido Key and Lido Beach. Find a parking spot because you’ll definitely want to stay a while! Lido beach is soft and powdery, and here you’ll see some of the most magnificent sunsets. 

Lido Key is more intimate than Siesta Key so housing options are fewer and you won’t see as many tall condos here. Think 3 or 4 stories in most places although there are a few outliers. 

Most condo seekers request direct Lido Beach access and gulf views, however, don’t overlook the pleasures of Sarasota Bay views. Unlike the gulf side, at night the bay views show off the twinkling lights of Downtown Sarasota. Since Lido Key is fairly narrow, you’re never more than a few blocks from the Lido Beach.
