Palm Aire Country Club: Golf, Swim, Shop, Eat, Repeat.
You may have heard people around here talk about buying a home in Palm Aire because it’s in the 34243 zip code where you’ll get the prestige of the Sarasota address and enjoy the lower taxes of Manatee County. Well, truth be told, Manatee County and Sarasota County taxes are about the same these days.
There are still lots of reasons to buy in Palm Aire: The optional golf membership and the convenience of the clubhouse and restaurant within the Palm Aire community; proximity to the beaches, great shopping just down the road, and a more affordable price tag than what you’ll find in Lakewood Ranch. Aside from this, you’ll have your choice of property styles from condos to villas to single family homes on and off the golf course.
Properties here are a little older than what you’ll find in Lakewood Ranch (think 1980s) and many have been nicely updated. The community is neat and tidy and there are plenty of neighborhood pools sprinkled throughout the community in addition to the large pool at the clubhouse. You’re never very far from a spot to plant yourself in a poolside lounge chair and soak up our coveted Florida sunshine. Downtown Sarasota is about a 14 minute drive and Siesta Key is about 25 minutes depending on traffic.
The community is not gated so you can take a drive through the area and see it for yourself. Each enclave (individual neighborhood within Palm Aire) has different rules about rentals, pets, HOA fees, etc. and it would be a lot to cover in this overview. Palm Aire is located north of University Parkway between Lockwood Ridge and Whitfield Road, approximately. Feel free to contact me with questions!
