If you love going for walks or bike rides and enjoy the sounds of nature without being too far from conveniences, Park Trace is the place to be. This neat little neighborhood in Osprey is just a tenth of a mile from the Osprey Junction Trailhead for The Legacy Trail (think walking, bicycling, jogging away from vehicle traffic). What people love about this community is the proximity to not only the trail, but also Oscar Scherer State Park. You can walk to both from this neighborhood AND you’re only 3 miles from Publix and 6 miles to Nokomis beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Pretty amazing right?
These homes are well built, too. The lots are decent size (bigger than a lot of the new construction lots you see today) and they allow fences so if you’ve got a pup or little people in the family, it’s a great setup.
Here’s the skinny on what you’ll find here:
- About 130 homes
- Built in the early 2000s up to about 2006
- Home sizes from 1800 to 3800 sq ft (most are around 2500 sq ft)
- Block construction (nice and solid!)
- Most if not all, are in the X flood zone so not likely to flood
- Open concept with tall ceilings and at least 2 car garage
- Many have private pools
Take a drive through — it’s not gated — and see if it’s a good fit for you!
