Hudson Landings: Downtown Sarasota Condos on the Canal
“Can you find me a condo, in an intimate setting, downtown Sarasota, with a boat dock right off the back steps, under $900,000?” That was the call I received recently what a fun hunt it was! After previewing quite a few possibilities, I ended up here, at Hudson Landings. Wow, did it impress!
This charming, intimate community of 12 condos is directly on the canal across the street from Selby Gardens near the corner of Orange and Mound. Not every condo comes with a slip, so those that do are highly valued since it can save boaters precious dollars in slip fees. These condos were built in the late 1980s, have spacious lanai’s, a shared pool, and each has its own garage. All that AND it’s close enough to downtown to take a stroll and enjoy the all fine restaurants and shops downtown has to offer.
Not surprisingly, condos in Hudson Landings don’t hit the market very often. Two or three years sometimes goes by without one of these gems becoming available and it’s even more rare for a condo with a deeded dock to hit the market. As of this writing, there’s one for sale and it’s gorgeous! If you’re a boater, it’s a dream come true. There’s only one fixed bridge to the bay. As you can see from the photo above, you can fit a good sized boat here.
