Waterlefe Golf and River Club

Waterlefe: Meticulously Maintained Water and Golf View Homes

Waterlefe Golf & River Club offers you the best of two worlds—challenging golf and the finest in boating and fishing opportunities along the Manatee River in Bradenton (a few miles east of I-75). If that’s not enough, take advantage of the kayaking, nature trails, a state-of-the-art fitness center, clubhouse, resort-style pool, restaurant and spectacular river views.

This gated community is exquisitely peaceful, private and meticulously cared for. The 617 homes at Waterlefe Golf & River Club range from magnificent waterfront estates on the Manatee River to single family homes and stately condos with golf course and preserve views.

I first discovered this gem of a community almost by accident. The entrance isn’t grand and boasting as is the case with many upscale golf communities. Anyone simply driving by would be unaware of the beauty within the gates, and perhaps residents prefer to keep it that way.

The River Club at Waterlefe is the hub of social activity for dining and enjoying beautiful sunsets. Behind the club is the Waterlefe Marina, which has 59 slips ranging in size from 20 to 29 feet. The course itself is semi-private so anyone can enjoy an opportunity to play. Designed by Ted McAnlis, the course uses natural fauna, paired with a variety of water features to create one of the area’s most naturally beautiful courses. The course is set along the Manatee River with a layout that challenges golfers at all skill levels. The unofficial slogan here is “water left, water right, Waterlefe”!

From homes in Waterlefe, you are minutes away from upscale retail and dining opportunities of Lakewood Ranch and University Parkway and a short drive from Sarasota. For even more convenience, the recently built Ft. Hamer Bridge provides a quick shortcut across the Manatee River toward Tampa and St. Pete.
